About the Touring Group...
Come discover the ghosts of Northampton. It'll be a night filled with chills, laughter, and stories you won't forget! Tours are 90 minutes/1.5 miles. There are places to sit down along the way. The adventure begins in the shadow of the municipal parking garage and proceeds back through centuries of local scandal and intrigue. As you wander from landmark to signpost, Annie (the historian and owner) will share spirited tales of star-crossed lovers, hidden staircases, the original “mean girls” of Smith College and restless spirits of long-dead inmates at the former Northampton State Hospital. You will see these monuments in a different perspective. They will become the otherworldly suspicion, greed and comically appalling behavior you never thought could be!
