Join the Spirits of Milford for a spirited, lantern-lit walk through downtown Milford, Conn., where you’ll be spooked and surprised. The Spirits of Milford Ghost Walk is led by lifelong Milford resident and award-winning journalist and playwright Cindy Wolfe Boynton. Among other works, she is the author of a book about the Connecticut witch trials published in September 2014 by the History Press, as well as a long-time researcher and believer in the supernatural.
Well-versed in Milford, New England and occult history, Cindy is an enthusiastic guide and storyteller who uses her experience as a writer, college professor and actor to make every walk as interactive, personalized and fun as possible. They’ll even bring along some of the tools ghost hunters use to investigate haunted locations!
Here’s what to expect…
Be entranced by tales about the city's earliest residents, some of whom might still remain! Be ready to explore why Connecticut is said to be one of the U.S.'s most haunted states and how Milford's history ties in with its many ghostly legends. Delve into the mysterious, the supernatural, the ghoulish and the otherworldly that's all right here in Milford.
Take Note:
The walk lasts 60-90 minutes, is appropriate for all ages and covers approximately 1.15 miles at a leisurely pace. Sidewalks line the route. The walk begins at the Hotchkiss Bridge on Factory Lane/Helwig Street, near Lisman Landing. It ends on Daniel Street.
Tickets must be purchased online, in advance. Space on each walk is limited!
