Home Sleep Testing

A home sleep apnea test is designed to be a convenient way to collect information about your sleep. On the day of your test:

  • Try to follow your regular routine as much as possible.
  • Avoid napping
  • Eliminate use of caffeine after lunch
The home sleep test can be provided at our facility, or you may fax a physician order and have the device mailed to your home. All instruction will be provided by one of our Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and a link below will show a video on how to use the device. The testing is easy to complete and a great alternative when assessing for obstructive sleep apnea. There are certain situations and medical conditions where home sleep testing may not be appropriate, our trained staff can help identify these situations.

The equipment consists of an effort belt, nasal pressure sensor and pulse oximetry. We will be able to monitor airflow, effort, heart rate and oxygen saturation during the study. All of our home sleep studies are manually scored and validated by a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to ensure accurate results. Our Board Certified Sleep Specialist will review the data and render an interpretation and recommendation. Based on the results, an in-lab study may be required.

If you are diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea, our board certified sleep physician will discuss treatment options with you and develop a plan.

***Expedited delivery and results are available for drivers being screened for their CDL***
