1936 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery

So the owner of this vehicle has an obsession with sedan delivery cars of the 30s. They are different and rare these days so when we were approached about hot rodding one out we were on board. This particular one is a 1936 Chevrolet sedan delivery when it came to the shop it was mostly disassembled but still wearing a thick coat of black paint. So what was wrong with it from the start well the steering was dangerous and the suspension was installed all kinds of wrong. The front end was read to fall out the car and the rear end wasn’t even in the center left to right. The previous owner had limited skills or was a scammer because there was a ton of rot hidden with fiberglass and bad patch work. You cannot buy patches for this car so everything was either handmade or bought for a different vehicle and then modified. There was no firewall because it fell out when the vehicle was on the trailer. Now 1936 was the last year Chevrolet used wood as a structural member in their vehicles and this little fact would make me with this car was a 37. Most of the wood inside the car is in beautiful shape. Not so much the doors. So the wood has been ripped out of the door and replaced with sheet metal the hinges are now a set of custom hidden hinges. A dual wiper set up from a 39 truck was modified and installed air conditioning has been installed. A fuel injected chevy 350 crate motor and a 700r4 have been installed. New tilt column a custom firewall was fabricated and installed floors redone and braced with metal. A new used bench seat has been installed. A center console has been fabricated and a third brake light has been installed. A new front end with a 4 inch drop axel and disc brakes in all four corners. The steering has been completely rebuilt with all new parts. Rough body work has been started so stay tuned for updates on this cool ride.
